Qualified candidates should have demonstrated mechanical aptitude, familiarity with basic maintenance shop equipment and the ability to function independently as well as world with a team. Position requires heavy lifting, pushing and pulling, climbing, reaching, bending and walking throughout the shift.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

*Performs preventative maintenance and repair of the facility including:

•        Safely installing, maintaining and repairing electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and building equipment to ensure proper and safe operations.

•        Additional duties will include painting, tile work, sheet rocking, cleaning of dish machines, vents, traps, screens and HVAC equipment, changing filters, light bulbs and batteries as well as other duties as assigned.

*Must be able to do general machinery repair

•        Able to safely operate all power tools used in facility

*Basic carpentry skills to include the following:

•        Framing procedures

•        Drywall repair and installation

•        Wood repair

•        Molding installation

†Knowledge of piping and welding

*Extensive knowledge of electricity to include:

•        Ability to diagnose an open fuse

•        The difference between single phase and 3 phase power supply

•        Ability to read a VOM

•        Ability to explain the difference between series and parallel circuits

• •        Some understanding of wiring diagrams and schematics
